We are looking for a Commercial Planning & Intelligence Analyst to join our Commercial Team in Senegal.

The Commercial Planning & Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for providing meaningful inputs, analysis and insights on all business aspects, handling volume & budget planning & reporting. He/ She will support strategic decision-making with timely inputs & actionable insights leveraging on data from various units (Finance, Commercials, Consumer, and others).

Principal Accountabilities

Accountability 1

• Market Intelligence ANALYSIS & REPORTING
• Bootsales Report observe trends by Area (Bamako and UPC), identify opportunities and risks to ensure targets are achieved
• IMS Report track performance against objectives by wholesaler. Point out areas of attention to drive target achievement.
• Shipments support country manager in defining shipment needs based on IMS forecast (combining Importer and 3rd Party Distributor’s sales forecast) to ensure shipment plan is in line with Market needs.
• Consumer Engagement Activity Reports support CE Unit in designing, maintaining and updating meaningful reports that allow clear tracking of main KPIs (DCC, Coverage, Trial, Reach etc.)
• Closely liaise with PMMSN Operations team to follow-up timely shipment departures
• Identify, conceptualize and execute required template development in liaison with input providers to ensure current and future business reporting needs are met.
• Budget work closely with B&R Team and local teams to drive budget spend as defined in OB/RF and in line with market needs. Track progress monthly and issue accurate reports to Country Manager.
• Display pro-activity through understanding key business functions and their requirements. Assist all key business users in providing training and usage of reports and information.

Accountability 2
• Trade Marketing
• Wholesale define quarterly objectives by wholesaler in Bamako and UPC
• Ensure objectives are discussed with Country Manager and signed by each wholesaler
• Track wholesale inventories on a weekly basis and drive repurchase when needed
• Design, update and maintain attractive trade programs while ensuring attractiveness of PM offer vs competitors to drive sales growth.
• Calculate sales allowances for all eligible wholesalers monthly, quarterly and on a semester basis
• Put in place a seamless communication platform with key trade partners and provide continuous support
• PPOSM management liaise with procurement to obtain competitive prices and high-quality units. Engage Field Force for maintenance of deployed units and identification of strategic spots to place new materials

Accountability 3

• Deck Preparation
• Collate necessary Market information on a regular basis to prepare concise and impactful presentations (Townhall, RF, OB, PBO and other adhoc decks).
• Support Country Manager in liaison with Marketing, Finance and other units to prepare inputs into quarterly Board Meetings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Finance.

High mastery of Ms office suite mainly (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Market Intelligence (Analysis / Reporting) or similar role within the FMCG Industry

Retail experience/knowledge

Good numerical / analytical skills
