YKA is hiring a School Program Manager

The YKA school program manager is an employee who plans, coordinates, and oversees YKA’s overall school
program and management office, keeping oversight of the various programs or projects on behalf of the school board, while maintaining flawless communication of the YKA vision for YKA new/current parents and families, staff and broader school community. S/he is responsible for implementing policies and procedures, maintaining budget and records pertaining to the program expenditures, and organizing the activities and agenda for the YKA academic program.

YKA School Manager Duties & Responsibilities

Program managers oversee the fulfillment of larger organizational goals. They coordinate activities between multiple projects without directly managing them. Instead, they manage the main program, giving detailed attention to program strategy, project delegation, and program implementation. This manager has a large responsibility to ensure that all the team members understand how to work

  • ●  Articulate and Share YKA’s vision and translate it into operational reality on a daily basis
  • ●  Assist with planning and coordination of YKA programs and their activities
  • ●  Monitor implementation of program policies and practices
  • ●  Work to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning

  • ●  Support program growth and development as necessary
  • ●  Coordinate effective program communications, including welcome to perspective

    families, provide school tours, and answer requests for information

  • ●  Manage staff work assignments, workloads and work schedules
  • ●  Administer or oversee fundraising operations for programs as well as community

  • ●  Coordinate interactions/relationships between staff, clients, administrators and all

As program manager, you will focus on implementing strategic tasks that align new programs with YKA’s organization’s business strategy and goals. The job description centers around high levels of coordination, delegation, and more.

As a program manager, you’ll analyze your programs with a broad, high-level view—leaving day-to-day project activities to your respective project/department coordinators. Your primary job description and responsibility is to ensure that all of your project managers are efficiently and effectively working toward program goals. You’re also responsible for making sure that your programs deliver the best return on investment (ROI).

Basically, you can think of yourself as a “meta-project manager,” strategically and simultaneously orchestrating all of a program’s intertwined projects. If you love to multitask, this is the job for you!

    What Skills Does the YKA Program Manager Need?

    Since the YKA program manager will work with a variety of stakeholders, exceptional leadership and communication skills are part of the job description. The successful applicant will need to meet the following requirements:

    •   Native-level mastery of French and English
    •   University Degree in management, administration, education
    •   15+ years of demonstrated experience managing programs
  •   Highly analytical and organized

  •   Outstanding planning, resource, and stakeholder manager
