The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is recruiting :
Knowledge Sharing Advisor
Are you prepared to advise on knowledge sharing and translation for adoption and use?
Education and experience :
– Master’s degree in social sciences, communications or journalism, with relevant experience in international development research, public policy development, knowledge translation or communications.
– Proficiency in English and French at an advanced level and proficiency in Wolof or another African language is an asset.
– At least five (5) years’ relevant work experience in knowledge sharing, communication, international development, public policy development or research management.
– A thorough understanding of knowledge translation for adoption and use, often referred to as “research-to-policy.”
– An enhanced knowledge of communications and public relations.
Responsibilities:
– Promote the Center’s knowledge-sharing objectives, through strategic positioning and knowledge translation for adoption and use, as well as communications objectives in Central and West Africa.
– Provide analysis to discern regional trends, identify and analyze program issues related to knowledge sharing and communications.
– Support and contribute to various activities aimed at implementing knowledge sharing and communications strategies for the region.
– Contribute to the identification of key regional events that are strategic from a visibility and knowledge-sharing perspective in order to develop appropriate mobilization strategies.
– Support internal communication of IDRC initiatives, approaches and priorities.

Locally recruited position: Senegalese citizenship or the right to work legally in Senegal (ECOWAS national currently residing in Senegal holding a CIE and residence permit).
