About the role:

As the Senior Finance Manager for the Sahel & West Africa region at MAG, and as part of the Regional Senior Management Team (SMT), your primary purpose will be to support the Regional Director in the financial management of multi-country, multi sub-region projects, ensuring compliance with internal policies, donor requirements and local regulations. About you:

You will have significant and progressive experience in financial management, ideally in International Aid and Development with an NGO, and across a multiple grant portfolio. You will also have proven experience of working with voluntary funds and a good understanding of donor budgeting and reporting requirements. A professional accounting qualification, such as ACA, CIMA ACCA or equivalent is highly desirable.

You will be experienced in financial planning, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting; and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of developing complex new business proposal budgets. Additionally, you will have managed and built the capacity of a finance team.

You will be committed to high quality standards and be able to demonstrate the ability to report in a timely and accurate manner. You’ll have the ability to work independently and build excellent working relationships with diverse stakeholders. You must be proactive, with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, and have proven ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop a team.
