The Data Repository Engine for Analytics and Management at MSH (DREAM@MSH) is MSH’s centralized M&E data management system. DREAM@MSH supports the systematic collection of project indicators, including standardized indicators across projects and countries. Data visualization and customizable dashboards update automatically as data are entered to facilitate data use across projects. DREAM@MSH is built on DHIS 2, an open-source data management software that has emerged as the de facto health management information system (HMIS) in global health.
The selected candidate may be able to work remotely in a country where they are authorized to work, and MSH is registered.
About this role:
This position provides technical support in Data and Digital Health (DDH) and Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) within the Strategic Information (SI) Unit, in the Data and Digital Health (DDH) practice area as well as direct support to many of MSH’s global projects.
What are the main responsibilities?
As the Project Manager, you will work with MSH project teams to design and develop requirements for new functionality implemented on the DHIS2 and other platforms. Once requirements are documented, you will provide technical guidance and managerial oversight to ensure the efficient implementation of these new system modules. Including:
- Manage the DDH team’s work to systematize the analysis and documentation of requirements for new DHIS2 modules implemented in DREAM and other DHIS2 instances.
- Once requirements are developed, serve as project manager to oversee system development tasks and monitor adherence to project timelines.
- Create technical documentation for best practices on DHIS2 configuration and maintenance.
- Work closely with the DHIS2 security officer to monitor the effects of DHIS2 system upgrades to integration routes and other interoperable system connections.

Specific requirements for this role are:
Education and Experience:
- An advanced degree at the MA level or above in computer science or related degree.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of working experience managing software development projects in the health/social sector.
- Experience documenting business processes and preparing system requirements specifications.
- Experience supporting the development of enterprise architecture and interoperability profiles to connect different information systems.
- Experience training in project management/collaborative teamwork using digital tools is desirable.

- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify areas that need support and constructively come up with solutions to address these.
Physical Demands:
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances and pick up materials.
- Travel: 25% – 30% International Travel
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 – $139,000 (U.S. locations only). If you are located in another country where MSH is registered, we will use the respective country salary scale.
