Peace Corps hiring Organizational Capacity Building Specialist.

Eau Vive Sénégal has requested the support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) to serve as an Organizational Capacity Building Specialist. Eau Vive is a local, first-time, USAID grantee that is implementing “Ndiyam E Ekkolaaji” (“Water in Schools” in Pulaar), a USAID-funded program to bring water to schools in Senegal’s arid northeast region of Matam where 30% of schools do not have running water. The project aims to improve access to drinking water for pupils and teachers within the school by rehabilitating/creating adequate water points and promoting good hygiene practices among students and teachers. As a first-time USAID grantee, Eau Vive Sénégal has adapted to complex USAID reporting procedures, and the support of a PCRV will allow the organization to to continue to strengthen their capacity in key program management areas.

The PCRV will support Eau Vive Sénégal by co-facilitating training and working with local counterparts to support quality control on monitoring and evaluation, to include data analysis, data tracking systems and drafting annual M&E plans. The PCRV will also co-develop and co-train on communications, marking and branding, develop social media posts, build photo library, and produce external communications products. The overall goal is to strengthen the capacity of Eau Vive to carry out this current project and any future projects.

Please note that departure dates and other details of this project could change because of the uncertainties as Peace Corps and local partners resume volunteer operations. Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in Senegal together as a group, so while the departure dates for the whole group could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.

• 5 years of experience in international development and project management
• Experience in developing tools for monitoring, evaluation, and learning and data collection and analysis
• Experience developing and revising budgets for NGOs receiving donor funding

• Experience with GIS
