You will be joining the global Monitoring, Accountability, Evaluation and Learning Team in DRC. About the job
You will be part of implementing DRC’s Aid transparency and Value for Money ambition at the operational level, with data sharing through the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) at the centre of your work. You will provide coordination and expertise to the portfolio, and support DRC’s global commitment to demonstrating accountability and transparency. Specifically, we would expect you to:
- Support in the development and implementation of IATI reporting commitments, including publication of data sets
- Support of IATI capacity strengthening across DRC’s global operations, including initial substitution of country capacity as needed
- Support in the development of policies, strategy, resources, tools, and guidance to support Aid Transparency across DRC
- Provide technical support to country operations, regional and HQ offices in the implementation of this knowledge area. As needed, the specialist may also substitute country and regional office capacity for a limited period with a perspective of building requisite capacity
- Be the focal point for the Aid Transparency and value for money portfolio at regional level.
- As requested, undertake analysis on data supporting Aid Transparency and value for money
- Work in close collaboration with MEAL colleagues, IT colleagues and Grant colleagues to optimize data use
- As needed, represent DRC in IATI and value for money related external engagement opportunities
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to come with experience in grants reporting, or a broader experience in MEAL or related fields. We would expect you to have a sound understanding of value for money concepts. We don’t expect you to have experience in reporting through IATI, but it is of course even better if you do.

Concretely, we expect the following:
Required
- At least 3 years relevant experience in grants reporting, MEAL or IT
- Understanding of economic evaluation methods (Value for Money framework)
- Social science master’s degree in a relevant field or a first level university degree with additional two (2) years of experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
- English and French, fluently spoken and written.
Desirable
- Experience in reporting to IATI in accordance with donor requirements
- Demonstrated abilities in problem solving as well as taking a flexible and innovative approach to working.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as part of a distributed small team and to form close working relationships with colleagues from a diverse range of backgrounds while working remotely
- Highly motivated and hard working with strong attention to detail.

Contract length: Two (2) Years
